Al Maktoum College’s Leadership Program Enters 25th Edition
Scotland-based Al Maktoum College of Higher Education has initiated the 25th edition of the multi-culture and leadership skills program. The program will run from February 5-28, 2018 under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance. Around 60 female students from universities and colleges of UAE, Cairo University, Malay University of Malaysia and Ministry of Interior will take part in the program.
Many dignitaries including Mirza Al Sayegh, Chairman of the College’s Board of Directors, Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Director-General of Academic Development and Training at the Ministry of Interior, Prof. Abdullah Alshamsi, Vice-Chancellor of the British University in Dubai, and many other directors and officials of UAE universities were present when the announcement was made during the press conference held at the British University in Dubai, BUiD.
Prof. Alshamsi explained the purpose of the meeting and said that it is a way to introduce students to the program and the courses. He also highlighted the aspiration of BUiD to participate in the multicultural program for the seventh year.
Mr Al Sayegh appreciated the commands of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum to provide participants with full care. He also pointed out that the program includes courses and academic activities and field visits to university and community institutions. Mr Al Sayegh also stressed on the success of the program and said that this is the 25th session since its launch in 2003 and 1,500 female students have taken part so far.
